The Indian chief appeared before the justice for a divorce. The justice asked his reasons for this request. The chief answered. “When me plant corn, me got corn. When me plant spinach, me get spinach. When me plant barely, me get barely. But when me plant Indian and me get Chinese, I want divorce!”
インディアンの酋長が離婚するために判事の前に現れた。判事が離婚請求の理由を尋ねた。酋長は言った。「トウモロコシを植えればトウモロコシが出ます。ホウレンソウを植えればホウレンソウが出ます。麦を植えれば麦が出ます。ところが私はインディアンを植えたのに、中国人が出てきました。だから離婚を望みます！」
